KVA Control
KVA Control - Stiebel Eltron WWK300AH Heat Pump
The results achieved by the Stiebel Eltron WWK 300AH Heat Pump are very impressive, especially considering that the unit was installed by KVA Control in a household with two bathrooms (each containing a shower) and used by four family members.
A concluding reading was taken in August 2010 to be able to determine the average electricity consumption over a three year period, and the final figure turned out to be 82 Kwh per month.

Performance Conclusions
Just to put that in perspective, I've measured the power consumption of my own conventional electric water heater (geyser), and the average is an energy guzzling 284 Kwh per month, so this heat pump water heater does more than 3 times better than that.
To roughly figure out how much it would save you per month, calculate how much 40% of your current monthly electricity bill is (that's the hot water part) and then multiply that amount by 0.66 to get to the final figure.
To work it out more exactly, use one of these energy monitors to pinpoint accurately how much you spend to heat water for you and your family.
Measurement Accuracy
You can put a lot of store in the accuracy of these results because they were measured using a dedicated rail mount meter, which is the same as the one as you would find in your distribution board at home.
The only difference is that yours is measuring the power consumption of your whole house whereas this one exclusively measured the electricity consumption of the Stiebel Eltron WWK 300AH heat pump.
The fact that the measurements took place over a three year period also improves the relevancy of the results because it would encompass many different weather conditions and water consumption variations in that time period.
